Production and Quality Inspection Standard Steps
- Preparation Phase
- Design Records: Ensure possession of all design records, including engineering drawings, specifications, and any other related design documents.
- Engineering Change Documents: If there are any authorized engineering change documents, they must be prepared.
- Customer Engineering Approval: If required by the customer, obtain customer engineering approval.
- Manufacturing Process
- Production Process Control: The production process must use formal processes, tooling, measuring instruments, raw materials, operators, production facilities, environment, and process parameters.
- Production Quantity: The PPAP production quantity must be at least 300 consecutive pieces, and the process must be from 1 to 8 hours of production.
- Quality Testing
- Dimensional Results: Provide dimensional verification results as per the design record (blueprint) and control plan requirements, ensuring compliance with specified requirements.
- Material Performance Test Results: For tests specified on the design record or control plan, the organization must have corresponding material or performance test result records.
- Initial Process Study: Conduct an initial process study to ensure the quality of the production process.
- Measurement System Analysis: Ensure reliable and accurate testing methods based on robust measurement system analysis.
- Document Submission
- Parts Submission Warrant (PSW): Prepare the Parts Submission Warrant, containing all necessary information and test results.
- Appearance Approval Report (AAR): If applicable, prepare the Appearance Approval Report.
- Production Part Samples: Submit production part samples, which must represent the final product.
- Reference Samples: Prepare reference samples for comparison and validation.
- Inspection Aids: Provide inspection aids to ensure measurement accuracy and consistency.
Quality Inspection Standard Requirements
- Compliance with Customer Specific Requirements: Ensure that all submitted documents and samples comply with customer-specific requirements.
- Process Capability Study: Conduct a process capability study to ensure the production process can consistently produce products that meet specifications.
- Accredited Laboratory Documentation: Provide documentation from accredited laboratories to prove the validity of test results.
